Samurai Shodown Rollback Netcode Update Delayed Again, No Planned Date

SNK has announced that the highly anticipated rollback netcode update for their fighting title, Samurai Shodown, has, unfortunately, been delayed once again. This rollback update was delayed before and was planned to launch in September 2023. However, there is now no planned date.

In addition to an apology, a Community Beta Test for Steam is scheduled for October. The new date of the rollback netcode release will be determined by the results of that beta test.

This seems to be a trend with many Japanese fighters looking to implement rollback retroactively. Dragon Ball FighterZ has gone over an entire year since it announced Rollback and Tekken 8’s current online situation is still in the air. And considering the last rollback test for SamSho went terribly, it might be even longer than SNK was expecting.
